Compact and truly portable

• The compact size and light weight allows you to take the DeltaPi/DeltaPi-4 in use practically anywhere. The instrument is fast and easy to install, being ready for operation in a few minutes.
• The DeltaPi/DeltaPi-4 is insensitive to vibrations, it can be used in a standard laboratory without the need of an expensive vibration isolation table.

Unique sensitivity

• The unique and ultrasensitive Kibron microbalance (sensitivity 0.2 micrograms) allows to monitor surface pressure with a sensitivity better than 0,01 mN/m, using small diameter wire probes (DyneProbes) instead of Wilhelmy plates.
• Even minor and rapid real-time changes in surface pressure are detected, without the need of a signal integration.

Small subphase volumes

• The thin wire probes (DyneProbes) in combination with the sensitive microbalance allow for precise measurements of very small samples such as circular wells with a diameter of 2 cm and subphase volume of minimally only 150 microliters, a fraction compared to conventional methods.
• The small volumes considerably reduce consumption of expensive materials, such as peptides.

Superior performance

• The DeltaPi-4 is equipped with four parallel balances increasing considerably the throughput of experiments.

High precision, affordable troughs

• The standard plates are made with high purity PTFE rim and a special metal alloy (or glass), minimizing the area of contact between PTFE and the aqueous subphase. This means both better reproducibility and more accurate results. We have also made several customer-designed troughs, please inquire.

• All measurements are recorded by our thoroughly tested DeltaGrapgh software.
