Kibron DeltaPi and DeltaPi-4 > high quality langmuir tensiometers for your research
Compact and truly portable
- The compact size and light weight allows you to take the DeltaPi/DeltaPi-4 in use practically anywhere. The instrument is fast and easy to install, being ready for operation in a few minutes.
- The DeltaPi/DeltaPi-4 is insensitive to vibrations, it can thus be used in a standard laboratory without the need of an expensive vibration isolation table.
Unique sensitivity
- The unique and ultrasensitive Kibron microbalance allows to monitor surface pressure with a sensitivity better than 0,01 mN/m, using small diameter wire probes instead of Willhelmy plates.
- Minor and rapid real-time changes in surface pressure are detected, without the need of a signal integration.
Small subphase volumes
- The thin wire probes in combination with the sensitive microbalance allow for precise measurements of very small samples such as circular wells with a diameter of 2 cm and subphase volume of only 300 microliters, a fraction compared to conventional methods.
- The small volumes considerably reduce consumption of expensive materials, such as peptides.
High performance
- The DeltaPi-4 is equipped with four parallel balances increasing considerably the throughput of experiments.
High precision, affordable troughs
- The plates are made with high purity PTFE rim and a special metal alloy (or glass), minimizing the area of contact between PTFE and the aqueous subphase. This means both better reproducibility and more accurate results.
User friendly software
- All measurements are recorded by our thoroughly tested DeltaGrapgh software.
- The software is user friendly while offering advanced users for powerful graphics as well as first-time users for an effortless start with immediate and total control of DeltaPi/DeltaPi-4.
The DeltaPi tensiometers offer superior sensitivity and reduced sample costs.
